Winter Concert

Well, our last week of 2016 has been very eventful.  Lulu made a new friend (Mme Anna's elf, Claire) and we did a marvelous job performing at our Winter Concerts.  Merry Christmas and I hope you all have an enjoyable break.

December Vocabulary

A Peek at Our Week

It has been an eventful week in kindergarten.  Lulu found all sorts of great places to hide.  Each day the kids race into the classroom to find him.

Our letters from Santa arrived and we began reading them. We will ask our Reading Buddies to finish reading them with us next week.

Each day we colour in our Christmas countdown page and trim Santa's beard so that we know how many more sleeps until the big day.

We write in our Lulu book and draw pictures of him in action.

We've been doing tons of Christmas activities.  We can't wait to show you all of our beautiful projects.

Our New Kindergarten Friend

If you haven't heard already, I'd like to tell you about our new kindergarten friend.  He's dressed in red, about 6 inches tall, and he goes by the name of Lulu le lutin.  Last week, on the first day of the month, we heard a loud knocking at our door leading into the schoolyard.  When we went to see who it was, there was no one there but we found an ice-covered package.  Inside was Lulu le lutin, a letter from the North Pole, and a package of double bubble snow-ball gum balls.

Since then, Lulu has been checking out our classroom and mostly staying out of trouble.  We've begun writing about him each day and we can't wait to see what adventures will come next.

Self-Portraits and SmartBoard

We were back at work today completing our November self-portraits and playing some math games on the SmartBoard.  Just checking stuff off of our 'to do' list before all of the magic (and craziness) of December hits our classroom.
