Peek at our Week

It was a very full week in our kindergarten classroom.  We have been laughing through one special occasion after another.  We started our week with a Valentine's Day party.

Passing out our valentines

Valentine headbands

Valentine number lines

Building structures with marshmallows and toothpicks

Checking out our Valentine's Day loot

We celebrated the Festival du Voyageur at Bannatyne.  Stations Included: listening to stories, arm and leg wrestling, tug-of-war,  eating bannock and colouring, and a music station (dancing and singing)

We also did some prepping for our 100 Day party on Tuesday.  We counted out 100 Fruit Loops for our 100 Day necklaces and we'll string them at our party.  We can't wait to show them to you!

We kicked off a very busy week by making fake snow for our polar animal habitat bin and by prepping for our valentine festivities.

Peek at our Week and Igloo Walk

As we made progress on our igloo this week, the kids decided to decorate the inside with the milk caps.  They did patterning and worked on their fine motor in the process!

Here are some shots of our completed igloo.  It turned out amazingly.

And we went on our walking field trip to see the real igloo.  We drank hot chocolate and got to see how the blocks are made.  It was SO much fun!

Here is a video from the morning class walk.  I posted it so that you can see how the door was made.
